The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

174 Constituents of Aparri and Baggao in Cagayan: Served by PRC RO-II through Mobile Service

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Driven towards delivering quality service to the doorsteps of its stakeholders, Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Regional Office II (Tuguegarao) conducted two mobile services: one in the Lyceum of Aparri, and another in St. Joseph College in Baggao, Cagayan last Jan. 20 and 24, 2023 respectively.

A total of 174 applications for the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) F. Balaqui, Jr. who personally guided the applicants in their transactions. The team likewise addressed other PRC-related inquiries and requests from clients.

In a short conference with the requesting institutions, Director Balaqui mentioned that, “…considering the distance and the significant number of would-be examinees who will process their application, we believe that bringing PRC services to their door-steps will unburden them in going to the office to complete their transactions”.

Director Balaqui said that the PRC Mobile Service aims not only to decongest the volume of clients processing their applications at the regional office but to relieve clients from the burden of travelling from far-flung areas.
