MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Abreast with the PRC’s 52ndFounding Anniversary’s theme: “Pride in Service, Respect for Duty, Commitment to Professional Excellence,” the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC/Commission), in collaboration with the Foundation for Outstanding Professionals, Inc. (FOP) and in cooperation with the Philippine Association of the Professional Regulatory Board Members, Inc. (PAPRB), unravel the curtains of The Manila Hotel, Ermita, Manila, 4:00pm for the 2025 PRC Awards Night.

The national awarding ceremony consists of Outstanding Professionals of the Year (OPYA), Outstanding Professional Regulatory Board, Outstanding Accredited Professional Organization, Seal of Excellence in Continuing Partnership Award, and the Eric C. Nubla Excellence Award.

Prestigiously known as the premier and climatic award given by the PRC, OPYA is meticulously and thoroughly conferred to a professional who has proficiently and efficiently executed to the optimum distinction, has conscientiously functioned with authenticity and legitimate professionalism, who has been widely endorsed by the awardee’s respective peers and fellow professionals.  OPYA is the selection of the “Crème de la Crème” among the distinguished and highly-respected professionals belonging to the following four (4) Clusters: Business, Education, and Social; Engineering; Health and Allied; and Technology.

In his Welcome Remarks, Hon. Commissioner Erwin M. Enad extends his congratulations to all awardees and challenges them with the question, “How do you define one’s apex or when do you say that you have reached the Apex of your career?” as this momentous event seemed the pinnacle of one’s career point. Likewise, Hon. Enad conveyed a reminder through Alber Pike’s striking line: “What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal”. Hon. Commissioner Conrado T. Onglao also delivered his message and mentioned an ultimate guiding principles: unrelenting and non-negotiable in upholding one’s professional integrity, no compromise in serving and delivering public service, and no compromise in pursuing the highest level of competence and trust of the Filipino.  From the inspiring words of the PRC Chairperson, Hon. Charito A. Zamora, this year’s theme resonates the impactful and every minute reflection and essence of every profession. "We take pride in service and commitment that is rooted from service in others, whether individually or collectively; and cling on to the respect of the unwavering commitment in fulfilling the entrusted and the endorsed responsibilities with integrity and accountability”, she emphasized.

The reverberating and powerful influence and presence of the guest of honor and speaker, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary, Hon. Bienvenido E. Laguesma, the Supreme Court, and Court of Appeals representatives and dignitaries have significantly heightened the significance and prominence of the Awards Night.

The Eric C. Nubla Excellence Awardee - Dr. Puno, in his acceptance speech, posed a challenge and hoped that the award may inspire, steer, and remind the entire professionals to live with Integrity, to serve with Compassion, and to be an Instrument for Nation Building.

Surely, the raging and flaming catalyst of professionalism, respect, and commitment will remain, shall be rejuvenated, and re-ignited as the rest of the professionals and soon-to-be professionals shall fortify and proliferate the steadfast commitment, passion, and love for their respective professions and the nation.
