CPSP-CATS Engineering Cluster Holds 3rd Meeting
MANILA, PHILIPPINES - The Career Progression and Specialization Program – Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (CPSP-CATS) Engineering Cluster successfully conducted its third Cluster Meeting on 03 July 2025 at the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC / Commission) - Central Office in Morayta, Sampaloc, Manila.
The meeting was presided over by CPSP-CATS Engineering Cluster Chairperson, Hon. Jaime V. Mendoza, and supported by Assistant Commissioner L. Louis P. Valera, Oversight Commissioner for CPSP-CATS. The gathering aimed to provide updates on the implementation of CPSP-CATS, to clarify related guidelines, and to address emerging concerns within the Engineering Cluster.
Attended by members of the CPSP-CATS Committees, representatives from the Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs), and CPSP-CATS Consultant Ms. Pearl G. Po, the meeting served as a platform for various engineering professions to present the progress of their respective career progression and specialization programs.
Assistant Commissioner Valera and Hon. Mendoza shared strategic insights to ensure the alignment of these initiatives with established policies and national standards. Discussions also underscored the importance of engineering specializations in enhancing professional competence, facilitating mobility, and contributing to national development.
The meeting reaffirmed the Engineering Cluster’s commitment to fostering excellence, enhancing professional mobility, and promoting the recognition of Filipino professionals across various disciplines glocally. It also underscored the importance of sustained collaboration and the adoption of best practices in the implementation of CPSP-CATS
The PRC CPSP-CATS Secretariat, under the International Affairs Office (IAO), provided full administrative and technical support to ensure the successful and seamless conduct of the meeting.
