The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

CSC’s PRIME – HRM Gears Up PRC RO I

ROSALES, PANGASINAN - In its pursuit to strive for excellence in Human Resource Management (HRM), the Professional Regulation Commission - Regional Office I (PRC RO I), headed by Regional Director Atty. Arl Ruth B. Sacay-Sabelo, underwent an online assessment of the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) as administered by the Civil Service Commission RO1 (CSC RO1) on May 29, 2023, at the Regional Office.

This undertaking is a part of the series of activities of PRC RO I for the upcoming 50th Founding Anniversary Celebration of the Commission scheduled this month of June.

In her message, RD Sabelo thanked CSC RO1, through RD Hedy Jose B. Lardizabal, for granting its request to venture into PRIME-HRM. The office aimed to polish further human resource management systems and practices and strive for excellence.

RD Lardizabal, in return, commended PRC RO1 for the initiative in participating in the CSC’s flagship program which aimed at benefiting not only PRC officials and employees but also their clients.

During the assessment, PRC RO1 was evaluated on their performance in the four (4) core areas of human resource management namely: Recruitment and Selection, Learning and Development, Performance Management, and Rewards and Recognition.

Consequently, participants and personnel from Regional Office 1 were required to formulate an action plan which contains human resource management gaps and possible interventions to improve the existing system and to improve the delivery of services.
