Engineering Cluster Conducts 4th Meeting on the Career Progression and Specialization Program–Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (CPSP-CATS)

MANILA, PHILIPPINES - The Career Progression and Specialization Program–Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (CPSP-CATS) Engineering Cluster of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC / Commission) successfully conducted its 4th meeting on 25 September 2025 at the PRC Central Office, Morayta, Sampaloc, Manila.

The meeting was presided over by the CPSP-CATS Engineering Cluster Chairperson, Hon. Jaime V. Mendoza, and served as a venue to provide updates on the development and implementation of CPSP-CATS, clarify related guidelines, and address emerging concerns within the Engineering Cluster.

Representatives from the Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs) and CPSP-CATS Consultant, Ms. Pearl G. Po, actively participated in the discussions. The meeting also provided an avenue for various engineering professions to present the progress of their respective career progression and specialization programs.

Hon. Mendoza, together with the Board Chairpersons and members, shared strategic insights to ensure that the initiatives of the Engineering Cluster remain aligned with established policies and national standards. The discussions highlighted the vital role of engineering specializations in enhancing professional competence, promoting mobility, and contributing to national development.

The meeting reaffirmed the Engineering Cluster’s commitment to fostering excellence, advancing professional mobility, and promoting the global recognition of Filipino professionals across engineering disciplines. It also underscored the importance of sustained collaboration and the adoption of best practices in implementing CPSP-CATS.

The PRC CPSP-CATS Secretariat, under the International Affairs Office, provided full administrative and technical support to ensure the successful conduct of the meeting.
