Posted on 30 September, 2025

Riyadh, KSA – In a pioneering milestone, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), through Assistant Commissioner L. Louis P. Valera, successfully administered the first-ever Face-to-Face Special Mass Oath Taking Ceremony for 2025 SPLE passers of various professions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a theme, “Overseas Filipino Professionals in Saudi Arabia: Shaping the Future of Digital Transformation and Global Competitiveness”.

The Philippine Embassy, joined by the Migrant Workers Office (MWO), and various Professional Organizations including the Professional Organization–Central Region Saudi Arabia (PPO-CRSA), Philippine Council of Engineers and Architects (PCEA), and Philippine Nurses Association–Filipino Nurses Society in Saudi Arabia (PNA-FILNASA), organized the said oath taking ceremony which was held on 12 September 2025 at the Cultural Palace, Diplomatic Quarters, Riyadh.

Philippine Ambassador to the KSA, H.E. Raymond R. Balatbat, and Labor Attaché Mr. Dominador A. Salanga graced the event as the Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker, respectively. They were also joined by Vice Consul Francis Ramon Torres and Assistant Labor Attaché Ms. Lucille T. Gayaman, as witnesses to said activity.

In addition, a Nursing Candle Lighting and Pinning Ceremony organized by PNA-FILNASA was also held during the main event to honor the new Nurses in the Middle East. The event is a symbolic rite of passage in the field of nursing that marks the baccalaureate degree holders' transition to full-fledged licensed practitioners. True to this event’s theme, “Shining Beyond Borders: Honoring the Excellence and Global Competitiveness of Overseas Filipino Nurses in Saudi Arabia”, PRC Assistant Commissioner Valera recognized the Filipino Nurses’ extraordinary commitment to service with compassion, which established the confidence and trust of foreign counterparts to Filipino professionals, and opened more opportunities to other professions abroad.

These events not only formalized the beginning of the professionals’ careers but also stood as testaments to the competence and resilience of Filipino professionals beyond borders.
