PRC ADVISORY
Posted on 21 April, 2026

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) warns the public against an individual who identifies himself as “Daniel Andres Magalona,” who is falsely claiming to be affiliated with the PRC and offering assistance in PRC transactions, particularly in obtaining board certificates.

Based on reported incidents, the individual contacts victims by phone, introduces himself as a PRC employee, and instructs them to communicate via social media platforms. He then persuades victims to screen-share their mobile phones and download an unverified “PRC application APK” from a third-party link, purportedly to facilitate online transactions. Such actions expose users to serious security risks, including possible compromise of personal information and online accounts.

The PRC categorically states that:

  • Daniel Andres Magalona is not affiliated with the PRC in any capacity;
  • The PRC does not authorize any individual to assist clients through unofficial channels;
  • The PRC will never require the deletion of official apps, screen sharing, or the installation of APK files from private links, social media, or SMS.

In view thereof, the public is strongly advised to exercise utmost caution and heightened vigilance when dealing with individuals claiming to represent the PRC. The public is further reminded to transact only through official PRC platforms, offices, and communication channels, and to immediately block and report suspicious profiles.

Any related incidents may be reported to notification@prc.gov.ph.

The PRC remains committed to protecting the public and safeguarding the integrity of its services by strictly enforcing official procedures and warning against fraudulent and deceptive activities.
