PRC Brings Expertise to PQF Roadshow in Davao

DAVAO CITY, PHILIPPINES - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC/Commission) actively participated in the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) Davao Roadshow Program to strengthen public understanding of the PQF and its role in supporting skills development, workforce mobility, and lifelong learning across sectors.

The three-day roadshow held from 28-30 January 2026 at The Pinnacle Hotel and Suites, Davao City was organized by the Philippine Qualifications Framework – National Coordinating Council (PQF-NCC) Secretariat of the Department of Education (DepEd), and bringing stakeholders from Government Agencies, Regional Offices, Academe, Labor and Industry Partners in Regions IX, X, XI, XII, CARAGA, and BARMM.

Hon. Cecilia Herras-Tence, Member of the Professional Regulatory Board of Landscape Architecture (PRB-OLA) and Vice-Program Manager of the Career Progression and Specialization Program – Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (CPSP-CATS), represented the PRC and sat as a panelist in the inter-agency discussion on Day 2. With her knowledge and experience in PQF, she actively shared PRC initiatives on professional qualification leveling, PRC’s flagship program, and the CPSP-CATS as pathways of registered professionals towards higher qualifications under the PQF.

Through its participation in the PQF Davao Roadshow, the PRC reaffirmed its commitment to harmonizing professional standards with national and international qualification frameworks for the advancement of Filipino professionals across the globe.
