PRC Holds Virtual Oath-Taking for Newly Appointed CPSP-CATS Committee Officials
MANILA, PHILIPPINES - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC / Commission) successfully held the Virtual Oath-Taking Ceremony for the newly appointed officials of the Career Progression and Specialization Program – Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (CPSP-CATS) Committees on Friday, August 22, 2025.
The PRC extends its warm congratulations to the newly appointed CPSP-CATS Committee officials under various Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs), whose leadership will be instrumental in further advancing the CPSP-CATS initiatives. The following appointments were formally recognized:
CPSP-CATS Committee of Electrical Engineering
- Hon. Jaime V. Mendoza – Chairperson
- Hon. Francis V. Mapile – Vice-Chairperson
CPSP-CATS Committee for Foresters
- Hon. Neria A. Andin – Chairperson
- Hon. Gerardo T. Cabreros – Vice-Chairperson
- Mr. Ray Thomas F. Kabigting – Member
- Ms. Alona C. Linatoc – Member
CPSP-CATS Committee of Naval Architecture
- Hon. Rizalito S. Lanoy – Vice-Chairperson
- Mr. Sancho A. Angue – Member
- Ms. Maria Teresa D. Mamisao – Member
- Mr. Jerome M. Manuel – Member
The Oath of Office was administered by Mr. L. Louis P. Valera, PRC Assistant Commissioner and Oversight for CPSP-CATS.
The program opened with remarks from Hon. Melinda L. Garcia, Program Manager of the CPSP-CATS Program Management Committee (PMC) and Member of the Professional Regulatory Board of Dentistry (PRB-DNT), and concluded with closing remarks from Hon. Cecilia Herras-Tence, Vice Program Manager of the CPSP-CATS PMC and Member of the Professional Regulatory Board of Landscape Architecture (PRB-OLA).
The event was organized and facilitated by the CPSP-CATS Secretariat, headed by Ms. Marie Cecille P. Fernando.
Through CPSP-CATS, the PRC continues to support the growth of Filipino professionals by providing a structured pathway for career advancement and skills enhancement. This initiative plays a vital role in ensuring they remain competitive, informed, and well-equipped in their respective fields.
