The PRC hereby informs the public that a certain “Maw-Sheng Lee”, who has been engaged as a seminar presenter to discuss the introduction of in vitro fertilization (IVF) in the Philippines, has not been issued any Special Temporary Permit (STP) or other authority by the Commission or the Professional Regulatory Board of Medicine.

Accordingly, Mr. Lee is not authorized to practice medicine in the Philippines, whether on a full-time, part-time, temporary, or occasional basis. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, the conduct of seminars, consultations, lectures, or the provision of medical advice to the public, as these acts constitute the practice of medicine under existing laws.

In view thereof, the public is strongly advised to exercise utmost caution and heightened vigilance in any transactions, engagements, or dealings with the said individual, and to verify the credentials and authority of persons offering medical services or expertise to ensure their legitimacy and compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
