The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

Radiologic Technologists and X-Ray Technologists Licensure Examinations Held Successfully Amid Covid-19 Pandemic

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic that denied people physical proximity, put them on strict quarantine and continued to surge in thousands across the country, the Radiologic Technologists Licensure Examination (RTLE) and X-Ray Technologists Licensure Examination (XTLE) were successfully conducted on May 16 and 17, 2021.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) with its strong desire to help the country address the need for more medical frontliners hurdled the challenges brought about by Covid-19 and gathered a total of one thousand nine hundred ninety-five (1,995) aspiring professionals from eleven (11) participating PRC-Regional Offices (National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban, and Tuguegarao).

Honorable Reynaldo Apolonio S. Tisado, Officer-in-Charge of the Professional Regulatory Board for Radiologic and X-Ray Technologists, together with Honorable Members, Orestes P. Monzon, Bayani C. San Juan, and Ma. Jesette B. Canales led the said examinations. Preparatory to the conduct of RTLE and XTLE, all examination personnel were required to undergo Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) Test. Likewise, during the conduct of RTLE and XTLE, the PRC ensured that the required health and safety protocols including the minimum health standards set by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases and the Department of Health (DOH) were strictly observed to guarantee the safety of the examinees and the examination personnel.

The success of RTLE and XTLE was made possible through the commendable assistance and support of the participating PRC Regional Offices, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Philippine National Police, DOH, Local Government Unit, participating government hospitals, and other relevant government and private organizations.
