MANILA, PHILIPPINES - The Career Progression and Specialization Program – Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (CPSP-CATS) Business, Education, and Social (BES) Cluster of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC / Commission) successfully conducted its 3^rd Cluster Meeting on Tuesday, 12 August 2025, at the 3rd Floor Conference Room, PRC Morayta, Sampaloc, Manila.

The meeting was presided over by Hon. Carmelita P. Pabiton, CPSP-CATS BES Cluster Chairperson, with the support of the Assistant Commissioner L. Louis P. Valera, Oversight Commissioner for CPSP-CATS, and Hon. Ramil G. Gabao, BES Cluster Vice-Chairperson. The session aimed to provide updates on the implementation of CPSP-CATS, clarify pertinent guidelines, and address emerging concerns within the BES Cluster. Also in attendance were: Ms. Perla Gonzales-Po, CPSP-CATS Consultant, along with key representatives from the Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs) and CPSP-CATS Committees under the BES Cluster. The event was facilitated by the PRC CPSP-CATS Secretariat.

Key highlights of the meeting included the presentation of CPSP-related updates by the CPSP-CATS Secretariat, focusing on the current status of the Committees’ draft CPSP Resolutions and Level Alignment Matrices (LAMs). Discussions also covered pressing challenges encountered by the Committees, clarification of guidelines, proposed matters for elevation to the CPSP-CATS Project Management Committee (PMC), and recommendations to streamline processes or improve support mechanisms provided by the PMC.

As CPSP-CATS continues to evolve, the Commission reaffirms its commitment to fostering a harmonized, transparent, and quality-assured system for the professional advancement of Filipino practitioners. This initiative underscores PRC’s dedication to building a career progression framework that not only empowers the national workforce but also serves as a benchmark for excellence, innovation, and integrity within the country's regulatory landscape.
