Third Meeting of the CPSP-CATS Technology Cluster

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Career Progression and Specialization Program – Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (CPSP-CATS) Technology Cluster of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC / Commission) successfully held its third meeting on Tuesday, 29 July 2025 via Microsoft Teams.

Originally scheduled as a face-to-face meeting, it was shifted to a virtual platform due to the prevailing inclement weather. Despite the adjustment, the Technology Cluster proceeded as scheduled, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to service continuity and its proactive leadership in furthering the objectives of the CPSP-CATS.

The meeting was presided over by Hon. Jaime Jajay E. Cruz, Chairperson of the CPSP-CATS Technology Cluster, together with Hon. Cecilia Herras-Tence, Vice Program Manager of the CPSP-CATS Program Management Committee (PMC), and Chairperson of the CPSP-CATS Committee of Landscape Architecture. Also present were Ms. Perla Gonzales-Po, CPSP-CATS Consultant, as well as key representatives from the Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs) and CPSP-CATS Committees under the Technology Cluster. The PRC CPSP-CATS Secretariat facilitated the activity.

Highlights of the meeting included the presentation of key updates and matters concerning the CPSP, delivered by Ms. Marie Cecille P. Fernando, Head of the CPSP-CATS Secretariat and Chief of the Qualifications Recognition Division. Essentially, the discussions centered on the current status of the Committees’ draft CPSP Resolution and Level Alignment Matrices (LAMs); pressing challenges presently faced by the respective Committees; inquiries, clarifications, and matters for elevation to the CPSP-CATS PMC; and recommendations to streamline the process or enhance the support provided by the CPSP-CATS PMC.

As the CPSP-CATS continues to evolve, the Commission reaffirms its unwavering commitment to a harmonized, transparent, and quality-assured approach to the CPSP for Filipino professionals, driven by its steadfast dedication to building a system that not only empowers the nation’s workforce but also sets a lasting benchmark for excellence, innovation, and integrity in the country’s regulatory landscape.
