The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Gender and Development Committee Conducts Seminar on “Women’s Transformation”

Manila, March 24, 2017 – The Professional Regulation Commission, Gender and Development (GAD) Committee conducted a seminar entitled “Transformation: Roles of Women and Institutions” as part of the initiative towards sustaining and strengthening efforts in the implementation of GAD programs, projects and activities, last March 21, 2017 at 3rd Floor, Examiner’s Lounge, Main Building, PRC Manila.

The inspirational messages on Women’s Transformation as an individual and in family were given by Hon. Jose A. Lorenzo and Hon. Gerardo T. Cabreros, Members of the PRB of Foresters. The Resource Speaker was Hon. Neria A. Andin, Chairperson, PRB of Foresters who focused on Women’s contributions in institutions.

The objective of the seminar is to give due recognition to the contributions of the Filipino women in our society in accordance with the Proclamation No. 227 series of 1988, the annual conduct of the National Women’s Month with the theme of “We Make Change Work for Women”.
