The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

‘I Stand for Integrity Campaign’ Relaunches, PRC Participates

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – July 29, 2024, The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) led by the PRC Chairperson Hon. Charito A. Zamora together with the Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs) from the Health and Allied Cluster namely: PRB of Dentistry, PRB of Medical Technology, PRB of Medicine, PRB of Midwifery, PRB of Nursing, PRB of Pharmacy, and PRB of Respiratory Therapy joins the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Associations of the Philippines (PHAP) in relaunching the “I Stand for Integrity Campaignheld at the Ascott Bonifacio Global City, Orchard A.

The “I Stand for Integrity Campaign” was first launched in 2013. The campaign was anchored on the government and private sector’s campaign on good governance with the aim of renewing and strengthening the commitment of the members of the healthcare sector in promoting the principles of integrity, transparency, independence, accountability, and above all, a patient- focused services.

The PRC as the only regulating agency for various professions shows its support to this campaign as a way of fulfilling its thrust to promote the people’s health with integrity in the same way its Vision and Mission are expressed. Conveying PRC’s commitment to uphold INTEGRITY, ETHICAL COLLABORATION, and INNOVATION in the healthcare sector, Chairperson Zamora reiterates as she delivered her message: “Kaisa ang PRC sa pagtataguyod ng integridad para sa kalusugan at kahalagahan ng bawat buhay sa ‘Bagong Pilipinas.”

As PHAP stands strong on the conduct of professional business practices and in preserving the independence of the decisions taken by healthcare professionals (HCPs) to ensure the safety and protect the interest of patients, PHAP members’ medical representatives undergo a pioneering program: the “Integrity and Proficiency Program for the Pharmaceutical Sector” or IPPS duly recognized by PRC. The PRC likewise accredits qualified medical representatives to ensure quality healthcare service and protect public health and safety.

Sealing the momentous event and signifying the lasting allegiance and professional commitment, participants also took part in the signing and posting of the ‘I Stand for Integrity’ badges on the designated Philippine Consensus Framework Wall.  Certainly, the campaign will further inspire and drive the public and the private sector to champion ethics and integrity in the healthcare sector.
