The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

2021 LEaP 2: Academic Alignment and Program Recognition

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), through the Professional Regulatory Board of Landscape Architecture (PRBoLA), in partnership with the Philippines Association of Landscape Architects (PALA), will be holding an international conference “Leadership in Education and Practice 2 (LEaP 2): Academic Alignment and Program Recognition” on 19-20 November 2021 through video conference platform.

The Conference is a follow-through of the conference held last 16-17 December 2020, wherein Landscape Architects across the Asia Pacific Region (APR) were gathered to share and compare the challenges of the practice of profession in these changing times.

This year, participation of distinguished guests, esteemed speakers, and delegates from the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) – World and IFLA – APR are expected, aiming to identify the areas of alignment in the practice of profession that may be mutually recognized and areas of non-alignment that may be harmonized.
