The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

August 2009 Agricultural Engineer Licensure Examination results released in three (3) working days

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 122 out of 409 passed the Agricultural Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Agricultural Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio and Davao this August 2009.

The members of the Board of Agricultural Engineering are Engr. George Q. Canapi, Chairman; Engr. Ariodear C. Rico and Engr. Domingo F. Tabbal, Members.

The results were released in three (3) working days from the last day of examination.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, September 7, 2009 but not later than September 30, 2009. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2009-2012. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Thursday, October 8, 2009, at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon, at the Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila.

Registration for membership with the Philippine Society of Agricultural Engineers (PSAE) will take place after registration as a professional with the Board and the Commission, and to pay the Membership Fee and Annual Dues of P1, 000.
