The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

Changes in the Classification of Majors for the March 2023 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers

Pursuant to Professional Regulatory Board for Professional Teachers Resolution No. 11 (s. 2022), which outlines the updated Table of Specifications, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs all applicants of the March 2023 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) that there will be changes in the classification of majors in the Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Agriculture & Fishery Arts (AFA) and Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE).

The Physical and Biological Sciences (whether old or new curriculum) will fall under a new major called “Sciences”, while AFA and TLE (whether old or new curriculum) will be lumped under a “Technology, Livelihood, and Tech-Voc Education”.
