The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

DPWH-PRC Infrastructure Projects

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), under the administration of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte completed four (4) infrastructure projects from 2018 to 2021.

Of the many PRC regional offices, PRC-Rosales was the first to receive the countless benefits of Pres. Duterte’s Build Build Build Program. It was in the year 2018 when PRC-Rosales regional office building located at Government Center, Nueva Viscaya Road Carmay East, Rosales, Pangasinan was completed and is now serving an approximately forty-one thousand seventy (41, 070) clients.

Another completed project in Northern Luzon is the PRC-Tuguegarao regional office situated at the Regional Government Center, Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. The project was inaugurated on September 16, 2019 and can now accommodate an approximate of one hundred sixty thousand (160,000) clients annually.

On 2021, three (3) DPWH-PRC infrastructure projects were also completed including PRC-Legazpi Testing Center, PRC-Koronadal Regional Office, and PRC-Pagadian Regional Office. The PRC’s first-ever testing center in the Southern Luzon inaugurated on March 16, 2021 is now fully operational and can accommodate an approximately thirty-eight thousand two hundred seventy-five (38, 275) examinees. Meanwhile, the PRC Koronadal, which was turned-over by DPWH to PRC last March 06, 2021, is now serving an approximately fifty one thousand four hundred twenty-seven (51, 427) professionals and would-be professionals in the Mindanao Region. Lastly, the PRC-Pagadian, was completed last November 23, 2021 and   wait for its official turn-over by the DPWH.

Notably, with the completion of various DPWH-PRC infrastructure projects and the on-going construction of PRC-Cebu regional office which has 94. 20% completion rate as of January 10, 2022, PRC’s services have become and will be more accessible, conveniently, and closer to the transacting public.

As the Commission takes another milestone to serve amidst the pandemic, the PRC commits itself to a more steadfast service that will surely benefit the professionals and the transacting public in general.
