The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

The First Architect in the Family Is the First

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Leading the two thousand nine hundred and twenty-four (2,924) passers or 61.12% out of the four thousand seven hundred and eighty-four (4,784) examinees, Fritz Mari Sangalang Sendrijas got a rating of 85.90 in the June 2023 Licensure Examination for Architects.

Having a humble family background, his mother, a housewife, and his father, the ambulance Operator at the Davao Central 911, Sendrijas valued the importance of education and was a consistent academic achiever. He was a grantee of the Ateneo de Davao University’s Jubilee Scholarship Fund (JSF), a program being offered to students who have graduated as valedictorian or salutatorian in high school. Such accomplishments and life’s achievements may have been rooted and inspired by his mantra: “Pray, Manifest, and Work hard!” Always pray and have faith in God; gain confidence within oneself; persevere and work hard in reaching and achieving your goals. With such dream and aspiration, we are being reminded by Gail Devers’ lines: “Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.”

With a vision of establishing his own firm and passing on his learnings, skills, and expertise to future architects, Sendrijas and the rest of new Architects are now part of our professionals who shall plan, architectural and structural design, specify, supervise, and give general administration and responsible direction to the erection, enlargement, or alterations of buildings, and architectural design of engineering structures.
