The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

Increase in Required CPD Units and Change of Thematic Areas to Competence Areas for All CPAs

Manila, January 23, 2017 - The Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy announces the increase of the required Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Units from sixty (60) to one hundred twenty (120) credits units within a compliance period of three years for all Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), which shall be implemented in phases as follows:

Thematic Areas of CPD activities have been changed to Competence Areas in order to align with the International Education Standards. These have been divided into 3 major categories namely: Technical Competence, Professional Skills and Professional Values, Ethics & Attitudes, pursuant to Resolution No. 358 Series of 2016 of the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy.
