The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC and CCBI Centralize the Future of Custom Brokers’ Transactions

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Shaping and leading the way of their best practices, the Chamber of Customs Brokers, Inc. (CCBI) – the only Accredited Integrated Professional Organization (AIPO) of custom brokers in the country, presented to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Professional Regulatory Board of Customs Brokers (PRBCB) the CCBI’s Coffee Table Book, CCBI Aduana Newsletter and the interactive website last June 25, 2024 at PRC Central Office in Morayta, Manila. Present during the event were the Philippine Chamber of Customs Brokers, Inc. (PCCBI) National President, Dr. Anthony A. Cristobal, PRBCB members Hon. Nenette T. Dagondon and Hon. Albert V. Cruz.  The CCBI’s Coffee Table Book, CCBI Aduana Newsletter, and interactive website were a testament to a new era of technological advancement in the practice of the Customs Brokers’ profession thus, highlighting the centralization of transactions among Filipino Customs Brokers.

The highlight and the essence of the organization, its journey and milestones, and the stories of the dedicated and well-rounded Custom Broker professionals who have been a crucial part of the successes and triumphs of the organization have been featured and underscored in the very first CCBI Coffee Table Book edition. On one hand, the CCBI Aduana Newsletter provides the latest news, updates, and insights within the industry.  Also, to centralize communication and transactions among the professionals, the official and interactive CCBI Website was launched accordingly. 

With the guidance and supervision of PCCBI and its Webmaster, the PRC looks forward to a centralized and unified atmosphere of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge among Custom Broker professionals.

Conveying the PRC’s support to such communication and technological strategies and initiatives were PRC Chairperson, Hon. Charito A. Zamora, Commissioners, Hon. Jose Y. Cueto, Jr. and Hon. Erwin M. Enad, and Assistant Commissioner, L. Louis P. Valera.  Such support signifies the forged and determined high hopes and spirits of CCBI’s navigation of challenges and opportunities towards excellence and advocacy in the practice of Customs Brokers’ profession in a glocal setting.
