The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Conducted the 2022 Strategic Planning

Manila, Philippines - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the 2022 Strategic Planning Exercise/Activity with the theme, “Learn from the Past and the Present, Strategize for the Future” last October 6 – 7, 2022 at the New Coast Hotel Manila which was attended by PRC Officials, Professional Regulatory Boards, and Regional Directors.

The PRC 2022 Strategic Planning aims to identify the Commission’s goals, objectives, and targets to be attained and accomplished by the responsible heads of offices and employees. This is also a way of communicating what direction the agency will take and what strategic priorities to be pursued.

“This is the reason why we are all here today, because the crafting of a high-quality strategic plan and its implementation is difficult. It is a task that must not be done alone. We need to contribute our experiences, knowledge, and ideas, and work as a team”, Chairperson Charito A. Zamora said.

To collectively achieve the main objective of the activity, workshops were undertaken focusing on the Operationalization of the Strategic Plan, Performance Indicators, Timetable for Implementation, Basis for the Evaluation of Implementation Programs, and Criteria for the Assessment of the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of the Strategic Plan.

The two-day activity was facilitated by Dr. Nemuel S. Fajutagana, former Dean of the University of the Philippines National Teacher Training Center for the Health Professions.

With all the plans and advancements projected for the year ahead, PRC will surely be equipped to efficiently and proactively respond to the needs and welfare of its personnel, Filipino professionals, and the public in general. Indeed, the success of this year’s Strategic Planning Activity/Workshop hovered the culture of integrity, accountability, competency, and teamwork of the Commission.
