The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Leads Tree Planting Activity at La Mesa Watershed Reservation

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) for Foresters led on Saturday, June 25, 2022 the 2022 National Tree Planting Day as part of the celebration of PRC 49th Founding Anniversary, and in support of the Philippine Arbor Day that is celebrated every 25th of June in order to promote a healthier ecosystem through the rehabilitation of the environment.

With the cooperation of the Society of Filipino Foresters, Incorporated (SFFI), spearheaded by its President Forester Tommy T. Valdez, Climate Change Commission (CCC) Vice Chairperson and Commissioner, Secretary Robert E.A. Borje, and representatives from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the PRC Officials headed by Honorable Chairman Teofilo S. Pilando, Jr., who graced the event with his virtual message, Hon. Commissioners Jose Y. Cueto, Jr. and Erwin M. Enad, together with Hon. Paraluman R. Giron, Philippine Association of Professional Regulatory Boards, Inc., (PAPRB) President and Member of PRB for Professional Teachers, Hon. Robert S. Sac, Foundation of Outstanding Professionals, Inc., President and Member of PRB of Architecture, Hon. Neria A. Andin, Chairperson of PRB for Professional Foresters, Director Lord Louis P. Valera of PRC-National Capital Region, Engr. Federico A. Monsada, Philippine Federation of Professional Associations President, selected Honorable Members of various Professional Regulatory Boards, staff, and guests planted primewood Molave at the Million Trees Project Nursery and Eco-Learning Center of La Mesa Watershed Reservation area in Quezon City.

It must be noted that the SFFI, CCC, DENR, and PRC have recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement formalizing their convergence on the Carbon Neutral Program (CNP), which primarily aims to facilitate scientific forestation initiatives to address the climate crisis.

This year’s celebration of PRC’s founding anniversary and 2022 PRC Week even made noteworthy with the conduct of the tree planting and tree growing activity.
