The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Observes 15th Development Policy Research Month

Manila, September 22, 2017 – The Professional Regulation Commission joins the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) in the observance of the 15th Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) with the theme “Pagpapatibay ng Desentralisasyon Tungo sa Kaunlarang Panrehiyon” for this month of September pursuant to Malacañang Proclamation No 247, dated September 2, 2002.

The month - long celebration focuses on the discourse on Federalism highlighting the need for in-depth reflections and analyses not just purely on federalism but encompassing the bigger umbrella and decentralization reforms. It also emphasizes to policymakers the importance of critical thinking and the formulation of appropriate policy interventions to advance development in the regions.
