The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Planning Conference 2017

 

Manila, February 27, 2017 – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted its annual Planning Conference last February 9 and 10, 2017 at Bulwagang Nubla, PRC Central Office, Manila with the theme, “PRC, SOARING! Strengthening the Operations and Administration Responding to Institutional challenges to empower the Nation’s Professionals for Globalization”.

 

Inspiring messages were delivered by Hon. Yolanda D. Reyes, Oversight Commissioner for Planning and Hon. Angeline T. Chua Chiaco, Commissioner.

PRC Chairman Hon. Teofilo S. Pilando, Jr. presented the 2016 accomplishments and set the direction for the Commission where various Institutional and Inter-agency programs and projects were presented.

PRC Officials from the Regulation Office, Licensure Examination Office, Office of Financial Administrative Services (OFAS) and Regional Offices delivered presentations and steered open forums.

Hon. Miriam P. Cue, Chairman of the Professional Regulatory Board of Psychology delivered the Strategic Planning Process Workshop Guidelines and Mechanics. It was then followed by the crafting of the 5-year Strategic Plan of Officials from the PRC Central Office, PRC Regional Office and Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs) Clusters – Business, Education and Social; Health Allied; Engineering; and Technology. The Strategic Plan of each group was then presented and critiqued by the Commission.

The conference was closed by Chairman Pilando giving his “Moving Forward” message and thanked the participants in the event.

The conference was attended by PRC officials and the Chairpersons and members of PRBs.
