The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

Makati City, Philippines. - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) received the “Ease of Doing Business Champion Award” conferred by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) last November 29, 2022, at the SEC Headquarters, Makati City.

Representing PRC, Atty. Janice P. Castellano, Commission Secretary, received the award during the SEC’s 86th Anniversary celebration. Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy (PRBBOA) also garnered the same citation. Hon. Noe G. Quiñanola received the award on behalf of PRBBOA.

The award and recognition were given by SEC to government agencies and private entities who supported SEC’s strategic initiative for FY 2022 in pursuit of ease of doing business.

Indeed, this recognition is a reflection of the PRC’s compliance with the values of deep, broad inclusivity in the business sector. With this citation, the Commission is fully inspired to uplift its mandate, vision, and mission – as manifested by its core values in continuing its greater service to the public.
