The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC signs MOA on Carbon Neutral Program Convergence

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) together with the Society of Filipino Foresters, Inc. (SFFI), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and Climate Change Commission (CCC-CCO) signed Memorandum of Agreement on Carbon Neutral Program (CNP) Convergence on June 13, 2022 at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources,Visayas Avenue, Diliman Quezon City.

PRC Chairman Teofilo S. Pilando Jr., DENR Secretary Jim O. Sampulna, CCC-CCO Vice Chairperson and Executive Director, Secretary Robert E.A. Borje and SFFI National Council President Forester Tommy T. Valdez led the abovementioned ceremonial signing with the special participation of the Professional Regulatory Board of Foresters committed to perform their respective roles and responsibilities implementation of the CNP Convergence.

With the acceleration of climate change, the PRC begun its Carbon Neutral Program initiatives in 2019 with the tree planting activity and was reinforced with the issuance of the Commission Resolution No. 1251 (s 2020) Declaring June 25 of Every Year as PRC Nationwide Tree Planting Day and Making it a part of the Annual PRC Week Celebration to recognize the sustainable forestry and mitigate the climate change.

The Carbon Neutral Program shall be a continuing program for Filipino Professionals around the country to achieve carbon neutrality by way of reforestation initiatives through partnership of the Professional Regulation Commission, and the PRC for Foresters with the Society of Filipino Foresters Inc. (SFFI), other professional organizations in collaboration with the Philippine Climate Change Commission and the DENR.
