The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC@51: Offices Celebrate with a Bang!

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Adjunct with the theme: Bagong Pilipinas: Pagpupugay sa Makabago at Mapanlikhang Propesyonal ng Bayan, the Professional Regulation Commission’s (PRC) 51st Founding Anniversary and 2024 Professional Regulation Week jumpstarted and energized the third day of celebration with a ZUMBA.  Thus, it set the groove at the 5th Floor, Bulwagang Nubla.

Yesterday, June 18, 2024, the energizing Zumba was followed by several activities: a) PRC Bazaar- Staged at the ground floor of PRC, selected distinctive products and produce that feature the ingenuity and craftsmanship of respective regions were featured and sold; thus, encouraging and supporting local entrepreneurs; b) Eucharistic Mass -  As the Mass celebrant Rev. Fr. Alfredo “Bong” Guerrero from the Diocese of Cubao reiterated the seemingly analogous homily and PRC’s theme; that is, every identified and set purpose gives meaning and genuine generosity leads to multitude prosperity; c) Blood Letting / Donation - In continuation of the ten-year contract, the PRC and Philippine Red Cross (PRC), for NCR and Central Office, held the bloodletting at the third floor – PRC Examiner’s Lounge and producing a total of twenty-seven and four hundred fifty (27,450) ml of blood from sixty-one (61) qualified donors.

Also, an Inter-Office Presentation/Contest – Pinoy Pop Pasiklaban was held showcasing Filipino music and significant landmarks in two categories: 1) Recorded Presentations and 2) Live Presentations of entries from Central and Regional Offices. Each presentation has featured one’s respective versatility, resourcefulness, creativity, and regional cultural uniqueness.  From the eleven (11) presentations, one emerged triumphant/champion in each category. Furthermore, a webinar - sponsored by the Professional Regulatory Board of Speech and Language Pathology, PRC seniors’ citizens and personnel aged 55 and above and Human Resource Management Officers were given the privilege to attend the said webinar focusing on: “Living Long, Aging Strong: Boosting the Older Filipino’s Cognitive and Feeding Health.”

With many more achievements to celebrate, activities set for the week-long celebration of the PRC’s 51st Founding Anniversary will truly keep the PRC spirit and stage on fervor!
