Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Professional Regulation Commission successfully conducted the Professional Mechanical Engineers (PME) Oral Examination / Technical Evaluation at the Migrant Workers Office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The examination aimed to assess the competencies of aspiring Professional Mechanical Engineers, ensuring their proficiency and adherence to the standards set by the Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) of Mechanical Engineering. This is a follow-up to the earlier PME Examination that was conducted coincidentally with the Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE) held in April 2023.
A total of forty-seven (47) candidates underwent the First Level Interview, while thirty-four (34) candidates proceeded to the Second Level Interview. The examinees came from the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore. This turnout underscores the growing interest and commitment of Mechanical Engineers to upgrade and pursue professional accreditation, signifying a positive trend in the industry.
The examination was facilitated by the esteemed PRB of Mechanical Engineering: Honorable Chairman, Engr. Leandro A. Conti, with Honorable Members, Engr. Jerico T. Borja and Engr. Lorenzo P. Larion. Their expertise and dedication played a crucial role in ensuring the thorough and fair evaluation of the candidates.
The PME Oral Examination / Technical Evaluation in Dubai was executed seamlessly, reflecting the commitment of both the candidates and the PRB of Mechanical Engineering. The thorough evaluation process ensures that those granted Professional Mechanical Engineer status uphold the highest standards of competence and ethics in the field.
