The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

Warning to the Public

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) warns the transacting public to be cautious in disclosing or sharing their personal information, especially their Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERS) username and password. This is to safeguard the applicants and professionals from any data breach which may lead to identity theft and unauthorized transactions.

They are also advised not to deal with unscrupulous individuals or entities that offer assistance to facilitate the speedy completion of their government transactions. PRC does not authorize any individual or entity, not connected with the agency, to collect fees to facilitate completion of PRC transactions. All official onsite transactions are only done at PRC offices and with authorized PRC personnel, while PRC online transactions are done through the PRC official website (www.prc.gov.ph)  or at  online.prc.gov.ph.

The public is highly encouraged to report any suspicious or unauthorized transaction by or with an individual or entity to the PRC Anti-Red Tape Unit through e-mail, at arta@prc.gov.ph. Inquiries and request for assistance may also be sent to the said e-mail address, for prompt action and/or response.

The PRC is continuously taking measures to protect the transacting public from any adverse circumstances arising from unauthorized and dubious transactions.
