The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Region IV-B (MIMAROPA) Conducts Face-to-Face Mass Oath Taking Ceremony for New Registered Nurses in Palawan

The Professional Regulatory Board of Nursing (PRBON) represented by Dr. Leah Primitiva S. Paquiz, in collaboration with the Philippine Nurses Association, Inc. (PNA) Region IV headed by Dr. Maria Lourdes C. Baňaga and Dr. Jocelyn M. Dalendeg, together with the Professional Regulation Commission Region IV-B (MIMAROPA) under the tutelage of Regional Director Reynaldo D. Agcaoili, conducted a face-to-face mass oath-taking ceremony for the 141 Registered Nurses at the Citystate Asturia Hotel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan last February 10, 2023.

According to Hon. Paquiz in her inspirational message, “…nursing is caring, caring is kindness, it is a gift from oneself. That is why, use that gift in helping our country in providing competent and compassionate healthcare services, especially to the poor and the sick.”  Truly, nurses are one of the important lifelines in the healthcare industry because they facilitate the delivery of healthcare services in various settings.

Armed with holistic competence, our new registered nurses are now ready to face the challenges in our healthcare system and continue to uplift the quality of life of every Filipino.
