The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Meets with the Federal Republic of Nigeria

Makati, Philippines - On January 18, 2023, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) had a meeting with the Federal Republic of Nigeria at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Paraiso St., Dasmarinas Village, Makati City.

Attendees from the PRC include the PRC Chairperson, Hon. Charito A. Zamora and the PRC Commissioners, Hon. Jose Y. Cueto Jr. and Hon. Erwin M. Enad, along with the Professional Regulatory Board of Medicine Chairperson, Hon. Godofreda V. Dalmacion and Chief of the Qualification Recognition Division, Ms. Marie Cecille P. Fernando. Her Excellency, Folakemi I. Akinleye, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, also attended the said meeting.

The discussion includes the procedures and documentary requirements for the application to take the Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) and Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (PNLE), and clarification on the establishment of reciprocity between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Philippines in terms of the practice of medicine and nursing in the country.

Through this meeting, the PRC hopes to further develop cooperation between the Commission and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
