The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

285 Physical Therapists and 32 Occupational Therapists pass the February 2013 Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist Licensure Exam

The Professional Regulation Commission announces that 285 physical therapy examinees out of 579, and 32 occupational therapy examinees out of 64, passed the Physical / Occupational Therapy licensure examination given by the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy on February 3 and 4, 2013 simultaneously in the cities of Manila and Cebu.

University of Santo Tomas graduate, Mary Kathleen Sabile Samarista, topped the physical therapy board with a general average rating of 86.95% followed closely by Barbara Jane Labao Auson from the University of Perpetual Help System-Laguna (86.60%) and Hyacinth Rosario Fernandez Callao from the Silliman University (85.65%).

According to the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy, the exam results were released in two working days after the last day of the examination.

Registration of passers for the issuance of Professional Identification Cards (PIC’s) and Certificate of Registration will be on February 21 and 22, 2013.
