The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

September 2010 Results of Licensure Examination for Teachers released in thirty eight (38) working days

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Professional Teachers (BPT) announce that 7,737 elementary teachers out of 39,508 examinees (19.58%), 31 Accelerated Teacher Education Program (A.T.E.P.) graduates out of 430 examinees (7.21%) and 9,493 secondary teachers out of 36,714 examinees (25.86%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T) given last September 26, 2010 in 15 testing centers all over the Philippines.

The Board for Professional Teachers is composed of Dr. Faith M. Bachiller, Chairman; Dr. Reynaldo T. Peña and Dr. Jesus L. Nieves , Members.

The results of examination with respect to ten (10) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.

R.A. No. 7836 known as the “Philippine Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994” States: “Every registrant shall be required to take his professional oath before practicing as a professional teacher” (Sec. 18). Mass oath taking for the LET passers are organized by the Board. The dates and venues of mass oath taking are given below:

Oathtaking tickets are available at the Office of Professional Teachers, 3rd Floor, PRC Annex Building for NCR and Region IV passers starting November 18, 2010 (Thursday) and at the PRC regional offices for the passers from the other regions.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced later. The requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following: 1) duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal; 2) latest Community Tax Certificate (Cedula); 3) 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 4) 2 pieces 2” x 2” picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 5) metered documentary stamp for the Oath Form; and 6) the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2010-2013. Successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals .
