The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

SPECIAL PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE EXAMINATION (SPLE) FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS FOR OVERSEAS FILIPINO WORKERS (OFWs) IN HONG KONG ON 29 SEPTEMBER 2019

The PROFESSIONAL REGULATION COMMISSION (PRC) announces that Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE) for Professional Teachers will be conducted in Hong Kong on 29 September 2019.

Interested applicants may now apply online through https://online.prc.gov.ph up to 31 July 2019. 

The basic documents required are:

  1. Photocopy of Transcript of Record (with or without scanned picture and remarks “For Board Examination Purpose Only”);
  2. Photocopy of valid passport;
  3. Two (2) passport-size pictures with complete nametag in white background.

Examination fees shall be paid at the authorized payment channel under the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB), and PRC Cashiers of Central and Regional Offices and Offsites.

After complying with the online processes, the documents shall be submitted by the applicants or their authorized representative to the Philippine Consulate General located at 1101 & 1601 Tower I, Admiralty Center, 18 Harcourt Road, Hong Kong, SAR.          

The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Hong Kong shall accept the printed and signed application forms together with photocopy of the payment confirmation slip and the documentary requirements from the applicants up to 09 August 2019 only.  Original copies of the abovementioned required documents shall be presented to the PRC Examination Team for validation upon arrival at the examination venues on 26 to 28 September 2019. 

The POLO shall pre-qualify the applicants and pre-evaluate the documents submitted, and the POLO and Embassy shall submit the namelist and documents of the following to PRC by 16 August 2019:

  1. Pre-qualified applicants for Elementary Level
  2. Pre-qualified applicants for Secondary Level (per major subject ofspecialization)

The list of conditionally-approved applicants shall be posted at the PRC Website and shall be forwarded to the testing center.
