The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) proudly joins the National Privacy Commission (NPC) in celebrating Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) 2025. The PRC recognizes the importance of this annual celebration in strengthening data privacy awareness, promoting responsible data processing, and upholding the fundamental right to privacy for all individuals.

With the theme, “Global Privacy Matters: Navigating a Borderless Digital World and Expanding New Professional Horizons,” the PRC stands with the NPC in underscoring the need to address privacy challenges in the Philippines at a time when data moves swiftly across borders. Hence, personal data protection becomes a shared responsibility across nations, organizations, and individuals.

As a personal information controller, the PRC vows to ensure the highest standards of data protection in all aspects of its operations. The PRC will continue to uphold transparency, accountability, and security in handling personal data entrusted to it, in full compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

As data subjects, the public is urged to celebrate PAW by staying informed about their rights, advocating for data privacy in their communities and workplaces, and being mindful of the information they share online.
