Manila, December 16, 2014 – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that the PRC-Iloilo office shall be closed on December 18, 2014 (Thursday) in observance of the Birth Anniversary of Graciano Lopez-Jaena.

The Holiday declaration is stipulated in Republic Act No. 6155, enacted on November 9, 1970, entitled “An Act Declaring December 18 of each year an Official Public Holiday in the City and Province of Iloilo to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Graciano Lopez-Jaena”.

PRC Iloilo Regional Office will resume services on December 19, 2014 (Friday).

Manila, December 12, 2014 --- The Professional Regulation Commission hereby informs all those who passed the December 2014 Board Licensure Examination for Civil Engineers of the schedule of their initial registration at the PRC-Registration Division (PRC Main Building, Manila):

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 4,021 out of 8,127 passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao and Lucena this December 2014. The result of examination with respect to one (1) examinee was withheld pending final determination of his liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.

The results were released in three (3) working days after the last day of examination.

Manila, December 11, 2014 --- The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reiterates the implementation of Commission Resolution No. 2008-475, requiring registrar of schools, colleges and universities to submit a certified and notarized list of graduates of courses or holders of degrees who are possible examinees of licensure examinations.

Manila, December 9, 2014 --- The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces the assumption into office of Dr. Florentino C. Doble as new PRC Chairman and Architect Yolanda D. Reyes as new PRC Commissioner.

Chairman Doble and Commissioner Reyes were both sworn into Office by Labor Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz in a simple oath-taking rite held at the Midas Hotel in Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City on November 19, 2014.

Manila, December 5, 2014 --- The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces the cancellation of the Civil Engineer licensure exam in Tacloban and Legazpi Cities due to Super Typhoon Ruby (international name: Hagupit).

The PRC, citing the Advisory of the Provincial Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Council to “Suspend events to give way for participants to return home to distant places safely and have enough time to prepare and mitigate possible typhoon impacts”, decided to cancel the exam as a precaution for the safety of examinees and the PRC examination personnel.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 32 out of 140 passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering in: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Al-Khobar and Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in Doha, Qatar last October 2014.
