Manila, July 27, 2016 – The Professional Regulation Commission issued Commission Resolution No. 2016-993 announcing the indefinite postponement of the licensure examination for Nutritionists-Dietitians originally set on August 21 and 22, 2016 in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Zamboanga.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 112 out of 131 passed the Optometrist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Optometry in Manila this July 2016.

The members of the Board of Optometry are Dr. Teresita R. Yambot, Chairman; Dr. Mary Rose S. Paredes, Dr. Maria Elizabeth B. Valconcha, Dr. Bernardita A. Garcia and Dr. Vivian S. Sarabia (inhibited), Members.

The results were released in three (3) working days from the last day of examinations.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 6 out of 19 passed the Special Certification Examination in Ocular Pharmacology for Optometrists given by the Board of Optometry in Manila this July 2016.

Manila, July 27, 2016 --- In participation to the 2016 National Nutrition Month celebration, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted a wellness event with the theme “Eat Right, Think Right, Move Right”, hosted and sponsored by the Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) of Nutrition and Dietetics in partnership with the Nutrition and Wellness Center yesterday, July 25, 2016 at the Bulwagang Nubla, 5th Floor Annex Building, PRC Manila. The event held various product samplings, nutrition counseling and a seminar promoting health and wellness.

Manila, July 26, 2016---The Professional Regulation Commission warns the public and professionals alike about the proliferation of establishments claiming to be accredited and authorized by PRC in assisting applicants in their Application of Examination, Initial Registration or any other PRC – related transactions.

The PRC has never accredited nor authorized establishments, with the exemption with PRC Mobile Services kiosk stationed in various Robinson’s Mall outlets, in regard to assisting the public with their various PRC – related concerns.

Manila, July 18, 2016 --- The Professional Regulation Commission and the Thailand Professional Qualification Institute (TPQI) held a two – day meeting last June 27 – 28, 2016 at the Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Main Building, PRC Manila. The objective of the activity is to compare and benchmark TPQI’s qualification on logistics and real estate services with the Philippine’s Customs Broker and Real Estate professional qualifications. This is a step closer to the alignment of qualifications under the ASEAN Qualifications Reference Frameworks (AQRF) as part of the ASEAN Integration.
