The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 1,834 out of 2,211 passed the Physician (Complete and Finals with Prelims) Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine in the cities of Manila, Cebu and Davao this August 2013.

The members of the Board of Medicine who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Edgardo T. Fernando, Chairman; Dr. Jose Y. Cueto, Jr., Dr. Restituto C. De Ocampo, Dr. Florentino C. Doble, Dr. Miguel L. Noche Jr. and Dr. Mildred N. Pareja, Members.

The results were released in three (3) working days from the last day of examination.

The Professional Regulation Commission today announced the resetting of the Licensure Examination for Veterinary Medicine to September 18, 19 and 20.

The PRC made the announcement after it decided to postpone the examination originally scheduled on August 20, 21 and 22, 2013 in Manila and Cagayan de Oro City.

The public is hereby informed that due to the heavy and torrential rains brought about by typhoon Maring, government service today, August 20, 2013 (Tuesday) is suspended.

Likewise, the public is hereby reminded of Proclamation No. 459 declaring August 21, 2013 as a Special Non-Working Holiday in celebration of the "Ninoy Aquino Day".

The PRC will resume operations on August 22, 2013.

Manila, August 16, 2013 – The Professional Regulation Commission announces the postponement of the September 18-20, 2013 written examinations and the October 1-4, 2013 practical examinations for Optometrist until further notice.

The Board of Optometry recommended the postponement of the licensure exam. “While the Board anticipates new appointments to the Professional Regulatory Board of Optometry, it has determined that there will be no sufficient time for the new members to formulate questions and prepare for the September and October 2013 licensure exams”, the Board said.

Registration for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card will start on August 15 to 16, 2013 at the PRC- REGISTRATION DIVISION UNIT C. The date and venue for their oathtaking WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.
