Manila, August 7, 2013 – The Professional Regulation Commission announces that the licensure examination for Criminologists originally scheduled on October 26, 27 and 28, 2013 has been re-set to OCTOBER 24, 25 and 26, 2013.

The Board of Criminology through Board Resolution No. 3 dated July 31, 2013 stressed the need to re-schedule the dates of the examination as the third day falls on the date of the baranggay elections (October 28, 2013).

The deadline for filing of applications for examination is moved from October 7, 2013 to October 4, 2013.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 355 out of 679 passed the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination and 64 out of 150 passed the Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy in the cities of Manila and Cebu this August 2013.

The Professional Regulatory Board of Medicine (PRBOM) today issued its official position on the status of and issues related to stem cell therapy in the wake of recent reports of doctors performing stem cell treatments in the country and the allegedly unscrupulous and questionable activities associated with such practice.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 605 out of 940 passed the Nutritionist-Dietitian Licensure Examination given by the Board of Nutrition and Dietetics in Manila and Zamboanga last July 2013.

The results were released in two (2) working days from the last day of examination.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 1,712 out of 4,861 passed the Agriculturist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Agriculture in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last July 2013.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 56 out of 101 passed the Master Mariner Licensure Examination, 198 out of 449 passed the Chief Mate Licensure Examination and 764 out of 1,392 passed the Officer-In-Charge of a Navigational Watch Licensure Examination given by the Board for Marine Deck Officers in Manila and Cebu this July 2013. A total of 71 examinees are exempted from taking the practical examinations as they opted to submit a Certificate of Training and Certificate of Assessment in the Ship Simulator and Bridge Teamwork (SSBT).
